Outreach

Helping The Community

With FaitHOPE Projects Care Package initiative, our goal is to promote opportunities, a connection to resources and help for those in need to decrease the homeless population in Charlotte, NC. With access to the right resources, people can become empowered and encouraged by their own abilities and gain the confidence to fulfill their potential.

Advocacy

Breast Cancer Awareness & Education

With our organization’s mission always in mind, and its founder being a Breast cancer survivor, FaitHOPE Projects strives to provide hope for survivors, deliver education and awareness and connecting underrepresented areas with resources to aid those impacted by Breast Cancer.   Advocacy is something that we take very seriously, and our team is working each and every day to make a positive impact in proving that there is life beyond Breast Caner.

Education

One Step at a Time

At FaitHOPE Projects, we are dedicated to stepping up our efforts to eliminate barriers and ensure that minorities receive the proper education they deserve. Support is by no means an easy feat, but through cooperation and community empowerment we believe we can facilitate progress in this area. We are always striving to make a difference, step up to the plate and do all that we can to allow for a better future of our youth.

Mentorship

Reinforcing our Commitment

FaitHOPE Projects desires to create an environment for learning, growth and mentorship. By following the African-American proverb "each one, teach one", it is our responsibility to reinforce our commitment towards the community by supporting our youth and pouring into them with wisdom, hope and the fortitude needed to succeed.

As an early transplant to Charlotte, North Carolina, Nicki calls the queen city home. She always had a vision geared towards advocacy, outreach and being a mentor for others. Believing the scripture of Luke 12:48 "to whom much is given, much is required", there was never a doubt in her mind to give back in any way possible. Upon graduating with her undergraduate degree in 2010 from Winston Salem State University, she immediately became a mentor for young women and youth through Communities in Schools. Her commitment to young women sparked a passion for empowerment, encouragement and mentorship. She now serves as a board member for the Safe Journey Program as a Community Member.

FaitHOPE Projects has been servicing the Charlotte community since 2011 with the launch of her Homeless Care Package Initiative. The inspiration was birthed with the start of her professional career, where she worked for a consulting group in uptown Charlotte and began to notice the glaring rise and growing presence of homelessness in the area. She was astounded at the level of disparity in an environment that gleamed with poverty amidst a thriving center city surrounded by wealth. This grass roots initiative continues to grow year after year and has afforded an opportunity to bring awareness, advocacy and hope to the Charlotte community to supply car packages containing essential goods and resources to people in need.

In 2014, Nicki was diagnosed with stage II Invasive Ductal Carcinoma, breast cancer and, completed a full year of treatment & surgeries at the age of 26.  After over 9 years of survivorship, she was diagnosed with stage 0 DCIS, breast cancer in January of 2024 at the age of 36, making her a two-time breast cancer survivor, following a mastectomy and DEIP Lap surgery and procedures. Her breast cancer journey continues to ignite a passion for advocacy providing awareness and education to young minorities, and under-resourced areas in the fight against breast cancer.
